Linux user since 1997, server and desktop. It all started with RedHat 5, and the great migration began. While attending DeVry, I helped found Linux@DeVry (1998), it was our local Linux users group. I left DeVry and Atlanta towards the end of 1999, to move back to Kingman AZ.
Where we opened a *Nix Storefront, Mohave Linux Systems (tuxpc.com) , providing home users with low cost Nix PCs and businesses with affordable/scalable firewalls and network security. That was the dream at least, the store closed in Aug 2000 ( investors bailed ).
*Currently using Ubuntu 7.04, and Slackware ( and some slack variants ) --
*Distributing free copies of Ubuntu to local stores, and local schools.
*Starting a Local Linux Users Group for Kingman -- domain coming soon.
Update Attending classes at MCC [http://mohave.edu Mohave Community College] starting a Physics degree and CIS degree (again) focusing on Education.
*Cooking up a liveDVD ( Feisty 7.04 ) for [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ArizonaTeam Ubuntu-Arizona LoCo]( borrowing the idea from the "Ubuntu select DVD" ), choices for install are: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu. Screenshots coming soon. Update Ubuntu Server is also on the liveDVD -- it works great for install fests or for demo on most modern hardware. Look for it on Linuxtracker.org -- azloco DVD
