Also, I currently serve as DocumentationTeam Secretary (as of June 2005)- that means i'll be doing tons of housekeeping for the team which involves regular meetings, coordination with other Ubuntu teams, wiki work (I used to hate this, but the wiki transfer made me love it again!), svn work, and more!

I am an Ubuntu user from the Philippines. I have found the Ubuntu community to be one of the most active and aggressive in pushing Linux as a platform of choice for everday computing.

I have deep interests in the adoption of FOSS for the improvement of public education in my home country. At the moment I am testing out Ubuntu as a viable distribution for local adoption in the computerization project of public schools (for Grades 1 to 6) in my area. Target fields of study are: Math, English and Science.

I am an active member of the Ubuntu DocumentationTeam.

I am involved in some targets for Breezy. Check out my [http://udu.wiki.ubuntu.com Ubuntu Down Under] participation in my [http://udu.wiki.ubuntu.com/JeromeGotangcoActivity Activity Page]. It's mostly about community but there are some interesting technical projects I am involved that we hope to achive in Breezy such as Dial Up support, PDA/Smartphone support and the Totally Rad Laptop support.

Finally, in my home country, I organize activites for the Ubuntu Local Community PhilippineTeam. I can be reached via email at jgotangco@gmail.com
