Introduction

Improve the file transfer (copy) dialogue in Kubuntu.

Rationale

Currently the file transfer dialogue (kio_uiserver) works with one dialogue to one file transfter. It should have one window for all files currently being or which have been transfered.

Scope and Use Cases

A user starts their computer and KDE session manager automatically loads up Konqueror, Kate and KWord and all the documents that were open when they logged off get loaded again, this opens a dozen file transfer dialogues. It should just be one.

Implementation Plan

Investigate the kio_uiserver Progress Dialogue, make sure it shows all the information available in kio_uiserver and prevent kio_uiserver from appearing at all. Take the best elements of the Firefox file transfer dialogue and kget. Make Progress Dialogue the default setting in future Kubuntu.

Features such as download pause and resume would be great but require deeper changes.
