Concept

The Lubuntu Artwork Team is pleased to present you the official artwork shipped with the forthcoming version of Lubuntu, version 16.10 codename Yakety Yak. There will be no community wallpapers this season. Anyway, this is a "transitional release", a maintenance-like distro, fixing lots of bugs and improving artwork while we head to a new desktop.

Wallpaper

Lubuntu-ish coloured polygon style wallpaper (yes, this time polygons went crazy!).

Panel

The traditional panel, sharp and smooth (menu button and background).

Controls

Not many changes here, improvements and a manew re-merge with the Ubuntu branch from Light Themes. Again, we ensure both gtk libraries match, the old GTK2 and new GTK3 ones (no longer look like different environments). Some improvements to Qt support.

Note: Abiword flickering bug #1574278 from Ubuntu themes is being fixed.

Window borders

Two versions of the window borders..

Icons

Box will be updated to version 0.51, improving LXQt desktop integration, with more apps, devices, mimetypes, dialog symbols, panel glyphs and, as always, better colours and metrics. Introducing new Qt elements for toolbars, apps and more LXQt stuff.

Logout

Everybody needs to log off for a while sometimes.
