(*) Notes and recipes
Graphic acceleration
- Ubuntu GNU/Linux 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex): Running "glxinfo | grep direct" returns "direct rendering: Yes", but graphics are too slow. Is there any command that trusts if 3D acceleration works?
Wireless NIC
- Ubuntu GNU/Linux 6.06 (Dapper Drake): It worked with a script I found on the Internet.
- Ubuntu GNU/Linux 7.04 (Feisty Fawn): It worked with the package of the firmware, but stopped working. Reinstalling OS din't solve the problem.
- Ubuntu GNU/Linux 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon): Using restricted manager works, but very bad.
Ubuntu GNU/Linux 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex): Restricted manager offers the bcm43xx driver, but enabling it doesn't find any network. May work with this guide for using ndiswrapper on Broadcom
