Requirements

1. Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/s/squid-langpack; available for all supported architectures.

2. Rationale:

   • Dependency of squid.

3. Security:

   • No CVE entries.

   • No Secunia history.

   • No binaries running as root or suid/sgid.
   • No daemons.
   • No network activity.
   • It does directly (not through a library) process binary (video, audio, etc) or structured (PDF, etc) data.
   • No source code review performed.

4. Quality assurance:

   • Squid-langpack should always work out of the box.
   • No debconf questions asked.

   • Debian bugs:

     • #538226squid: Error Pages moved

   • Maintenance in Debian is calm.

   • Upstream is frenetic/vigorous/calm/dead ?

   • Upstream bug tracker:

   • Doesn't deal with any special hardware.
   • No upstream testsuite
