How to find documentation for your Mac
The entry point for running Ubuntu on Intel CPU-based Macintosh Computers is the Mactel Support Team Community Help Page.
If you are looking for support on PowerPC-based Macs, try these pages:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCFAQ

How to create a Mactel wiki
Overview Documentation Structure
Please have a close look at the overview of the Mactel documentation to get an idea where to place new pages!
Overview of the Mactel documentation architecture and related group pages
Documentation Guidelines
Please have a look at our guidelines for writing documentation!
The guidelines contain a lot of DOs and DONTs. See it as recommendations.
All wikis for running Ubuntu on a Mac reside in the user community pages
and everybody is free to contribute to them.
The MactelSupportTeam tries to improve the overall comprehensibility of these documents.
Creating a new page
Please note: A wiki about a certain Mac hardware belongs into the community help pages (help.ubuntu.com), not into the team wiki pages (wiki.ubuntu.com).
If you like to create such a wiki, do the following steps:
Right click, open in new tab and login at help.ubuntu.com/community/
Create a new page: Right click and open in new tab
help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook1-1/UbuntuVersion
help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook2-1/UbuntuVersion

help.ubuntu.com/community/Mac_mini2-1/UbuntuVersion
help.ubuntu.com/community/xServe1-1/UbuntuVersion

Adjust the Ubuntu version in the browser URL. Use only the first word of the version name with a capital letter at the beginning:
Example: MacBook Air 1,1 and Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) will be located at
help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookAir1-1/Intrepid

Forum Support
A generic support forum for both Intel and PowerPc based Macs can be found here:
The Apple Users' Ubuntu Support Forum.
For an archive of the forum from 2008 and before, please go here:

Create a list of out-dated links. Try to contact the writer and ask him to bring his pages up-to-date so we can link it, maybe to join us, or if we can delete the old stuff, to avoid confusion. |

Integrate our pages to the outside world, like asking for links at the Ubuntu start pages |

Collect picture material of every hardware to be included in the introduction of each wiki |
