2. Rationale: Kubuntu should provide a user friendly way to view system logs (provided in Ubuntu by gnome-system-log)

3. Security: The package was set to run as root (through kdesu) by upstream. It is patched not to by the package currently in REVU. No other security history.

4. Quality assurance:

   • No configuration is required after installation, the package contains a patch to point it to the correct location for logs as used by Debian/Ubuntu.
   • There are no current bugs (this is a new program. It is activly supported by upstream and has recently entered KDE's repository as an extragear application.

5. Standards compliance: The package complied with debian-policy and FHS.

6. Dependencies: All dependencies are in main.
