KubuntuFirefoxInstaller
Main Inclusion Report for kubuntu-firefox-installer
Requirements
Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/k/kubuntu-firefox-installer; available for all supported architectures
Rationale:
- Kubuntu can't/doesn't want to ship Firefox by default, yet it is a major brand and renders mostly better than Konqueror. It is believed that a user would look for Firefox (considering they know what it is) in the menu. In order to provide them a way to easily obtain Firefox the kubuntu-firefox-installer adds a menu entry and provides a very simple application to install Firefox.
Security:
- No known CVE entries
- No known Secunia history
- No rooted binaries or daemons
- No network activity whatsoever
- Does not directly (not through a library) process binary (video, audio, etc) or structured (PDF, etc) data
- No known source code reviews available
Quality assurance:
- Should always work out of the box
- No debconf questions asked
- Not in Debian
- Kubuntu == Upstream
- Does not deal with hardware
- No test suite
UI standards:
- User-visible strings are internationalized using standard gettext system
- Package builds a PO template during package build
Standards compliance:

- Patches Qt stylesheet imported from Ubiquity (since there is no common implementation yet)
Dependencies:
- ruby, libkorundum4-ruby1.8, libgettext-ruby1.8, install-package, kdesudo
- libgettext-ruby - pending MIR
Maintenance:
- Fully Maintained by the Kubuntu team
Background information:
