Requirements

1. Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/c/compcomm-plugins-main

2. Rationale:

   • Required for the CompositeByDefault spec

3. Security:

   • No security record, no binaries running as root or suid/sgid or daemons.
   • No network traffice
   • No source code review performed.

4. Quality assurance:

   • The package does work out of the box and does not require configuration or debconf questions.
   • Debian does not have the package yet.
   • Upstream is alive and kicking.

   • Upstream bug tracker: Nothing critical

5. Standards compliance:

   • Follows FHS and Debian Policy.

   • Packaging system cdbs

6. Dependencies:

   • all in main

7. Background information:

   • This package is required to implement the CompositeByDefault spec. It contains the main plugins from the old beryl project. Those are now merged with compiz again.

   • Upstream calls this software compcomm-plugins-main. I maybe need to be renamed in the future again as upstream has no final decision on the name of the compcomm project yet and it may also merge into the main compiz repository. But if/when this happens is unclear currently.
