Main Inclusion Report for dolphin
Requirements
Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/d/dolphin; available for all supported architectures or some subset ?
Rationale:
Security:
- No binaries running as root or suid/sgid. No daemons.
- Network activity: it does not open any port. Incoming network data handled with kioslaves, same as the rest of KDE.
Source code review performed when moving to KDE trunk (although not as thourough as it should have been it seems). http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/apps/dolphin/README?view=log
Quality assurance:
- Package always works out of the box without configuration
- Package does not ask debconf questions
Debian bugs: 2 normal bugs
Maintenance in Debian is active
Upstream is franetic in KDE 4. This KDE 3 version is now maintained as "D3lphin" and we hope to include the updates soon.
Upstream bug tracker: nothing serious
- Hardware: Does not deal with hardware
Standards compliance:
FHS, Debian Policy compliant
- Packaging system cdbs
Dependencies:
- kdelibs
- All dependencies in main
Background information:
- The general purpose and context of the package is clear from the package's debian/control file
- Upstream call it Dolphin. We don't plan to use the D3lphin name in packaging.
