Requirements

1. Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/k/knetworkmanager, available for all supported architectures

2. Rationale:

   • As the KDE equivalent of the Gnome nm-applet for networkmanager (already in main), knetworkmanager is target as the future default wireless manager for Kubuntu

3. Security:

   • No Secunia history.
   • No binaries running as root or suid/sgid.

4. Quality assurance:

   • Package works out of the box without configuration.
   • Not in Debian
   • Developed by Novell and included in SLED 10.1

   • Upstream bug tracker

5. Standards compliance:

   • Meets the FHS, Debian Policy, and has been reviewed by MOTUs

   • Standard cdbs packaging, standard cdbs patch system.
