1. Availability:

   • The package is available in universe, builds on all architectures.

2. Rationale:

   • Zope2.8 is the current stable release of the well-known python web application framework.

   • "Plone" and "CPS" are based on Zope2.8, and they are a must for a server-oriented distribution.

3. Security:

   • Some issues in the past; upstream supports multiple stable releases.

4. Quality assurance:

   • Needs to setup instances after install, which could be done through dzhandle utility from zope-common package (already in main).

   • No bugs in "Debbugs"

5. Standards compliance:

   • The package meets the FHS and the Debian Policy.
   • Standard debhelper packaging.

6. Dependencies:

   • python2.3, zope-common (already in main)
   • python2.3-xml binary missing in main
