Overview

The Australian team focuses on distributing, advertising and demonstrating Ubuntu within Australia. Through the development of our projects we focus on the areas of schools, business and home users.

Meetings

The Australian Team meets fortnightly on Tuesdays. Projects

The Ubuntu Australian Team is currently developing a few key projects to help promote and raise awareness of Ubuntu in Australia.

Key projects that are currently being developed include:

Logo

We are currently exploring different options for an official AustralianTeam logo. Any submissions or ideas are welcome to be expressed. Please add your designs or thoughts at [wiki:AustralianTeam/Logo the Logo page].

Local cd distribution

We are currently trialing an Australian free mailout of Ubuntu install/live cd discs. If you would like a Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger" install/live cd pack please email

Standard PC, 64-bit PC and Mac PPC versions available. Please specify. At the moment we are only able to send single install dics/live cd packs. For greater quantities, goto Ubuntu's Shipit service. Please be patient as this is a volunteer service. Many thanks to Ubuntu's Shipit service for making these cd's available to us.
