For triaging a bug report, simply follow these steps:
Shine
💬 It is written in English.
👍 It seems it can be fixable.
📄 It has enough information.
🎯 The title is as specific as possible.
🔳 The panel hasn't obvious errors for you.
Sort
🔖 Set its importance if needed.
🐾 There isn't any obvious duplicates.
Classify
📜 It as a papercut if needed.
💟 It as a kernel bug if needed
💬 It as a translation bug if needed.
Publish
🔓 Make it public if needed (carefully).
🕑 Nominate for series if appropriate.
📨 Report it upstream if needed.
📤 Set its status to triaged if appropriate.
To triage is to make a listed bug ready to be fixed by a developer.
You can triage for this project simply by joining the Papercuts Ninjas team, and for all Ubuntu packages by joining the Bug Control team.
Work-flow bugs shall only be touched by the package developers.
