Purpose/Problem Statement

The pacific northwest is one of the most beautiful area's in the world. Lets combine our team's picture taking ability to provide nice backgrounds for people locally and abroad alike.

Mission

To bring a decent background picture package to all.

• Minimum resolution: 1024x768

Yes, there is slightly more work involved with making an account, but that would have to be done anyway to vote. When adding a picture to the website, make sure you select "2007 Art Contest"

Note: you may at any time change your vote should the need come.

Objectives

• Make a nice background worthy package
  • Get package in the main repo's
• 2-5 of the best for ISO's

Communication Plan

Team will utilize our mailing list (ubuntu-us-pnw@lists.ubuntu.com) and associated forum site for communication. PNW team meeting can be called if needed.

Quality Management Plan

Team will vote on the best pictures submitted to include with the package at a (predefined) future team meeting.

Project Outline and Scope

• Accept submissions from users by the 5th
  • Verify image hight / width and size - 1024x768 min.
  • Verify that images can be referenced as Public Domain material
  • Choose our team's favorite images.
• Create the art package and try to get it hosted in apt repositories.
• Roll the a couple of the Background images in with the live CD ISO
• Project closing
  • Verify team approval
  • Postmortem documentation
  • Send closing email
