Test Plan

Use the test plan as a base line to guide your manual testing.

Login

• Open Gmail
  • verify that the app opens, and that you are prompted for a user/password
• Login with your personal account
  • verify that you reach the main inbox screen and are not redirected outside of the webapp to the browser
• Stop the app, and login with your professional account (@canonical.com if applicable)
  • verify that the login process stays within the confine of the webapp and that you are not redirected either

User switching

Applicable if you have 2 user accounts

• Go to the drawer menu on the top left, and ues the drop down menu at the top to switch to another user
  • verify that the whole process of login in as another use and switch to the other user mailbox all happens within the webapp, with no redirecting into the browser application
• Switch back to the first user account
  • verify that you reach the first user inbox view

Reading emails

• Scroll down the main inbox view, and back up
• Use the drawer menu to switch to another tag/folder; switch back to your inbox
• Click the refresh button to check for new emails
• Open the last arrived email at the top of the inbox list; scroll down to read the whole message content
  • verify that the rendering of the message is correct
  • click on links to verify that the open in the browser
  • click on a PDF attachment (open with PDFJsViewer which you need installed first)
• Search for emails, with the search field at the top of the inbox list

Composing emails

• Click on the "Write email" icon
• Enter 1 main recipient and CC yourself
  • verify that auto-completion works
• Write down a sample text
  • Note: pasting text is not supported currently
• Add an attachment
  • verify that the content-hub chooser let's you complete the attachment process
• Send the email and verify the result in your own inbox

Misc

• Use one of the top header icons with Google+, Calendar and Web search links
  • Verify the calendar link keeps you in the same webapp (note: this is a temporary behaviour)
  • Verify that the G+ icon sends you to the Google+ application (you need to have installed the "Canonica" Google+ webapp first)
  • Verify that other application links send you to the browser application
