• Commentary on Recent Events:
  • 11/28 - 21:00 Soft Freeze for Alpha 1
    • went fairly well overall
    • couple of posts happened by accident (armhf), but no serious damage luckily.

    • Please don't upload to seeded universe/main during soft freezes

  • 11/29 - Images for testing posted on ISO tracker
    • new iso tracker sucessfully demonstrated able to handle milestone release! Many thanks to stgraber, jibel and cjwatson.
    • auto posting of new build images worked beautifully, skaet and pitti were delighted to get rid of this manual step.

    • now able to see image and test history for milestone as well: http://91.189.93.73/qatracker/milestones/205/history

    • other new capabilities will be rolled out when we can get the test instance deployed.

  • 12/01 - Alpha 1 release

    • Ubuntu, Ubuntu Server, Xubuntu, Edubuntu, Lubuntu images released.

    • need to get ReleaseContacts and the image plans forecast a bit better with the leads and testers to reduce the churn a bit.

  • 11/24 was feature definition freeze - all blueprints should now be in and approved, tracking starting.
