Video Overview

New users to Ubuntu may find the environment a bit unsettling. Especially if you're used to what Windows looks like. This screen-cast will give you a brief overview of the functionality of the included programs within Ubuntu, give you a simple knowledge of how to navigate the desktop environment, show how the Ubuntu/Gnome desktop is layed out, and what all the icons and Menu items mean.

Target Audience

  • Users who are new to Ubuntu and the Gnome desktop

Pre-requisites

  • Working Ubuntu desktop.

  • None

Recommended Knowledge

  • Some knowledge of Windows. (e.g. The difference between a program, document file, and folder. How to use the start menu)
