Selfmade Gaming Console

Overview

This project describes how to build a gaming console with Ubuntu as OS and many open source games to play.

Goals

• O/S: Ubuntu
• no specific hardware requirement. could be build withe an Barebone, Netbook or old PC
• complete controls via Gamepad
• No Keyboard usage
• Connect to TV screen
• Open source games from the Ubuntu repositories

Issues

• How to control the Linux-Desktop (Unity) completely via gamepad.
• Create a list of suitable games
• e.g. Implement an on screen keyboard
