Current Issues
DRI and 3D acceleration can be enabled by installing the linux-restricted-modules-$(uname -r) and then xorg-driver-fglrx package. You may also need to correct a symbolic link by doing a 'sudo ln -s /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri' described in bug #46239. - There is a bug in the package gtk2-engines-gtk-qt that inverts the Gnome volume control. Removing ~/.gtkrc-2.0 solves the issue.
Suspend with the default settings freezes X during the resume process. Suspend2 worked in Breezy using this method of re-compiling the kernel and probably will work if you do the same in Dapper using a similar updated method (disregarding the irrelevant Nvidia parts).
Notes
For 'ClearType' like font rendering, these patches work great on Dapper.
