In 2002, Mark Shuttleworth took a trip to the International Space Station and landed back safely on Earth (phew!). Five years later, to the day, we're throwing a party (and install-fest, and conference, and LUG-meet...). Seville, Spain, 2007-05-05; be there, or be unUbuntu!

Ubucon Sevilla

• LASTEST: 2007-05-06: Minus one (-1) day! It's 1am in the morning and some people are just getting to their beds. Thanks to all those who attended. The final session turned into a party (Guadalinex's penguin throwing was an excellent end to the day). Sit back and watch while the photos pour in!

• 2007-05-05: Zero (0) days to go! See you all there and brings your friends aswell!
• 2007-05-02: Three (3) days to go. We now have wifi internet sorted for everyone attending (a relief), so if you have a laptop and wifi card bring it along the Ubucon and you can read your email between sessions!

• 2007-04-30: Five (5) days to go. We now have a timetable (subject to change) and spaces to fill up with: demonstrations, BoF ("birds-of-a-feather" / break out groups) and shorter 15minute "lightening talks".

• 2007-04-29: Six (6) days to go. Join the count-down, answer the RSVP on Launchpad to say you're coming and tell your fellow Ubunteros!

• 2007-04-19: Everything is alive and well, please join the organiser's mailing list at http://www.theubucon.org/mailman/listinfo/sevilla if you'd like to assist with stewarding and talking, or arranging posters and getting the Spanish LUGs involved. Can you help with translation English-Spanish for the talks?

• 2007-03-30: It looks like current catering sponsorship may only cover drinks/refreshments during the breaks. We may need to have a cash-cafeteria where people pay for their own food; or if we're lucky the local LUG will help us to find some more local sponsorship to cover lunch.

• 2007-03-27: The TODO list seems to be getting longer faster than it is getting shorter (this maybe a good thing?). If you'd like to join the organising team and help get things sorted please add your Name, Email and a note (eg. "I live in Seville and would love to help with PA and advertising") as we are still waiting for a mailing-list to be created.

• 2007-03-26: Removed all the stuff like "Call For Papers" that don't make sense for Ubucon. We've got 1 month to organise this, if you have something you want to talk/demo add the details to TheUbucon/Sevilla/Speakers and we'll fit it in.

• 2007-03-23: Ubucon Seville is Go Go Go! We have a venue and some catering sponsorship!

En 2002, Mark Shuttleworth hizo un viaje a la Estacion Espacian Internacional y aterrizo a salvo de vuelta a la Tierra (phew!). Cinco años después, a día de hoy, damos una fiesta (y fiesta de instalaciones, conferencias, y reuniones de LUGs...). Sevilla, España, 05-05-2007; asiste o no eres Ubuntu!

Ubucon Sevilla

• LO ULTIMO: 06-05-2007: !Falta menos un (-1) día! Es la 1:00 de la mañana y alguna gente se esta yendo a sus camas. Gracias a todos los que asistieron. La ultima sesión se convirtió en una fiesta (el lanzamiento de pingüinos de Guadalinex fue un excelente final para el día). !Sentaos y mirad mientras las fotos van apareciendo!

• 05-05-2007: Faltan cero (0) días. ¡Nos vemos allí y llevaos a vuestros amigos!
• 02-05-2007: Faltan tres (3) días. ¡Tenemos preparada conexión wifi a Internet para todos los asistentes (un alivio), así que si tienes un portátil con tarjeta wifi tráetelo a la Ubucon y podrás leer tu correo entre sesiones!

• 30-04-2007: Faltan cinco (5) días. Tenemos un horario (sujeto a cambios) y espacio para rellenar con: demostraciones, charlas informales, ...

• Faltan seis (6) días. !Únete a la cuenta atrás, responde al RSVP en Launchpad para decir que que asistirás y díselo a tus amigos Ubunteros!

• 19-04-2007: Todo sigue en marcha y bien, por favor únete a la lista de correos de los organizadores en http://www.theubucon.org/mailman/listinfo/sevilla si quieres ayudar atendiendo a la gente y/o hablando, o colocando carteles y haciendo que los LUGs españoles se involucren. ¿Puedes ayudar con las traducciones de ingles a español en las charlas?

• 30-03-2007: Parece que el patrocinador actual del catering sólo podrá cubrir bebidas/refrescos durante los desayunos. Necesitaríamos tener una cafetería donde la gente se pagará su propia comida o, si tenemos suerte, que el LUG local nos ayudara a encontrar más patrocinadores locales para cubrir el almuerzo.

• 27-03-2007: La lista TODO parece alargarse más rápido que acortarse (¿puede ser esto una buena señal?). Si quieres unirte al equipo organizativo y ayudar a resolver cosas por favor añade tu Nombre, Email y una nota en ingles (Ej. "I live in Seville and would love to help with PA and advertising") ya que estamos aun esperando que se cree una lista de correos.

• 26-03-2007: Eliminadas todas las cosas tipo "Call For Papers" que no tienen sentido en una Ubucon. Tenemos un mes para organizar esto, si tienes algo de lo que hablar o enseñar añade los detalles a TheUbucon/Sevilla/Speakers y te haremos un hueco.

• 23-03-2007: ¡¡Ubucon Sevilla esta en marcha!! ¡Tenemos lugar y algo de catering!
