Event Information
UbuConLA is an international event which happens every year. It is held in different parts of Latin America. Everything started as a common idea between members of the LoCo Teams in Argentina and Uruguay, with the following objectives:
* Advocate the capacity and experiences earned in business areas by different Latin American specialists in different projects and contexts |
* Demonstrate the maturity level reached by Ubuntu GNU/Linux and the professionals which work with it in business areas, both in consultory as well as users and IT admins |
* Integrate technical and socially users and specialists from Latin America, for earning new knowledge and abilities, as well as generating business opportunies in the region |
* Share the "Ubuntu" spirit of the Latin American community |
* Institucionalize UbuConLA as 'the annual Ubuntu Event' for Latin America |

Academic Area
It'll be focused to conferences and meetings about the next Ubuntu stuff:
Workshops Area
During the event workshops will be held. These will be teaching sessions for those who are just starting in Ubuntu GNU/Linux. However, some workshops will have an advanced level and will be classified as follows:

A place for creating meetings where all participants can share contact data, opinions and make alliances.

¿Qué es el Permiso de Ingreso y Permanencia, PIP?
Es la autorización expedida por MIGRACIÓN COLOMBIA, al extranjero que no requiera la visa de visitante, de conformidad con lo señalado por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (MRE).
MIGRACION COLOMBIA estampa un sello en el pasaporte, documento de viaje o Tarjeta Andina Migratoria (TAM) donde consta EL INGRESO (fecha del ingreso, días de permanencia autorizados y tipo de ingreso), que será de noventa (90) días consecutivos, prorrogables, por noventa (90) días más, hasta completar un máximo de 180 días por año calendario. Eventualmente la Autoridad Migratoria podrá autorizar menos días de los contemplados, atendiendo la facultad discrecional basada en el principio de soberanía que tiene el Estado Colombiano.
El permiso de ingreso a ciudadanos extranjeros se puede otorgar en las siguientes categorías:
PIP: PERMISO DE INGRESO Y PERMANENCIA, este permiso se otorgará a los extranjeros que no requieran visa, por 90 días calendario con excepción del extranjero que necesite ingresar de manera urgente a quien se le otorgará el permiso PIP-7 visitante técnico), el cual se otorgara por 30 días calendario y el PIP-8 mediante el cual se otorga un permiso de setenta y dos (72) horas.

Cartagena: General Information
Cartagena de Indias is a colony-styled city located in the center of the caribbean, at the northeast side of Colombia.
With an easy access, whether it can be via air, ground or sea, it is visited by thousands of tourists each year, which find on it the perfect place where to work or relax.
This beautiful city has a diverse hotel infrastructure, mostly bilingual (English+Spanish). Its official currency is the Colombian Peso. Its value is near the United States Dollar.
Its average temperature is 30C, and the water in its beaches is warm all year long. This is a great reason to have it as a good touristic destination during all year.

La deducción por donación está limitada al 30% de la renta líquida del contribuyente donante determinada antes de restar el valor de la donación |
