Kubuntu Hug Day

Today we will be working on transitioning old KDE 3 bug reports to KDE 4 for Intrepid.

Here we have a sampling of bugs to work on for Hug Day. After you have triaged or fixed a bug put your name in the last column and set the row's background to green by adding lightgreen in the first cell of the column after "background-color:" and before ";". This will let people know that the bug in that row has been hugged.

You might find it more convenient to edit the wiki page using editmoin a command line utility for editing moinmoin wiki pages. It is available as a package in Gutsy and Hardy. More information including an easier way to do this was mailed to the Bug Squad.

These are bugs in the kdebase package that were confirmed at some point, but haven't been updated in a while.

To mark it off the list you should:

  1. Test on Hardy/KDE3. If it's not present, then mark it fixed or invalid, as appropriate. If you can confirm it on Hardy/KDE3:

    1. If it qualifies for SRU according to StableReleaseUpdates (if you are unsure, please ask!), mark it Confirmed and click "Nominate for release" to nominate it to be fixed in Hardy. If all other needed information is there, mark it Triaged. In most cases, the importance should be set to High, since if it wasn't important it probably doesn't qualify for SRU either.

    2. If it doesn't, go on to step 2.
