Ubuntu Cinnamon is requesting quailfication to support 24.04 as a LTS release for 3 years.

Support Plan

Packages (see the list below) will receive support for 3 years for fixing bugs via SRUs and security issues. A lot of the cinnamon packages rely on other more generalized packages. Bugs relating in other packages that affect Cinnamon will be fixed. An example of this is when caribou was patched for CVE-2021-3567, as it caused the screensaver to crash.

For these packages, SRUs and security updates will be provided as necessary. Bugs can be filed against these corresponding packages. The package containing the most content is the cinnamon package, where when in doubt, users can just file there. Bug reports sent to any of these packages will be forwarded to the ubuntucinnamon-dev team.
