- Am I stupid? Unable to find out what OMG! means (in OMG! ubuntu). Nothing even in the glossary terms... No you are not stupid. The term OMG is short for the Oh My God and is not a technology term thus why you did not find it in the glossary terms. Check the OMG site for more information on the meaning of the sites name. I have a suggestion for translation stats. I believe it would be better if there teams would be ranked by improvment of their translations stats in the previous week as that is the real indicator of their current activity. I was getting UWN via RSS and it was fine. UWN don't come anymore via RSS. The last issue in RSS is issue 212. Is it intentional ? |

Let us know what is going on in the Ubuntu world. Please do not use this as a place to get hits on your website, as we do not pimp for google ads. Sorry.
Thank you for taking time to add content to the In Progress version of Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter After this issue is published we will review the ideas page clear all content that either has been included or is Overcome by Events. We wish we could include all content submitted, but that is not always possible. LoCo News News about Ubuntu LoCo Teams Post from the Planet that don't fit into Blogosphere, LoCo or other areas Other Ubuntu Related news sites Ubuntu Articles from Blogs not news sources Typically Corporate information - while may not be Ubuntu is related - i.e - Canonical, ZaReason, System76, Dell, IBM etc Press Release that relate or tied to Ubuntu but has that Corporate tone to it. Are there Ubuntu Podcast we aren't currently covering that needs to be included here? Add upcoming UBUNTU related events and meetings only if they are not included on the Fridge Calendar If you have suggestions on how we can better help facilitate the translation efforts please let us know. For more information on we are currently handling these efforts please go to: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWeeklyNewsletter/Translations Ideas for Topics or new areas not yet implemented in UWN See guidelines below Add suggestions that would require major structural changes to the way UWN operates or looks
In an effort to have the feature of the week be useful and relevant to the widest possible audience here are some guide lines to follow when writing your proposal. Try to use applications that are available via Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center or secondly, System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager. These are easier for users to find.
