Many times, users having computers not connected to the internet or on very slow connections come to the forums and ask how they can update/upgrade their setup. BobSongs (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=53299) has written a very useful and well written and supported thread, where other users also came to give input and improve the tutorial.
