Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) released

Adam Conrad, on behalf on the Ubuntu Release Team, announces the release of the fifth Long Term Support release, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS for Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core, as well as Ubuntu 14.04 for the Phone and Tablet products. Adam provides links from where the images can be downloaded and also from where further information and help can be obtained.

Ubuntu Open Week for Trusty: Starting Soon!

José Antonio Rey informs us that the Ubuntu Open Week for the Trusty Tahr cycle will take place from April 22nd to April 24th 2014, from 1500 to 1900 UTC each day. José tells us how we can join the sessions on IRC and that session logs will be available after each event.

Ubuntu 14.04 Release Party

Adnan Quaium reports on the Ubuntu 14.04 Release Party organised by the Bangladesh LoCo Team in association with the ULAB Computer Programming Club. Adnan tells that the four hour event, which was managed by 20 volunteers, attracted 150 people. He also includes a number of photographs to accompany his report.
