Shuttleworth Doesn't Expect Other OSes to Want to Fetch Snaps from Ubuntu Store

Intel Skylake Graphics: Windows 10 vs. Ubuntu 16.04 + Latest Open-Source Driver Code

Michael Larabel of Phoronix shares the results of his latest tests of the Intel Skylake graphics on Windows versus the latest open source drivers on Ubuntu 16.04. After sharing a series of results, he writes: “While the open-source Intel driver stack is getting faster in some of the tests with Linux 4.7 and Mesa 12.1-dev, the Linux numbers across the board for GpuTest were noticeably slower compared to Windows 10 Pro x64 with the latest Intel proprietary driver.”
