Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS released

Lukasz Zemczak, on behalf of the Ubuntu Release Team, reports the release of Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS for Desktop, Server and Cloud products, including flavors. The release Includes hardware enablement stack by default, except Ubuntu Server where it is an option. Many links for more details are provided.

xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin 2.4.2 released

Graeme Gott announces the availability of xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin 2.4.2, an alternate menu. While release 2.4.0 saw many additions, bug fixes, and updates; 2.4.2 addresses a crash fix and adds additional translation updates. OpenShot Video Editor Just Got a Massive Update

Joey Sneddon tells us a major new update to OpenShot has been released, and outlines the OpenShot 2.5.0 features including 'experimental' hardware acceleration and more. A link for the new .appimage is provided, as well as a PPA for supported releases of Ubuntu.

KDE Plasma 5.18 LTS Released After A Lot Of Polishing, New Features

Michael Larabel reports the KDE community has released Plasma 5.18, which is a LTS release. It brings better integration with GTK/GNOME applications, a new opt-in feedback feature, an emoji selector has been added, and more. A video and link to KDE.org is provided.

KDE Applications Start Conquering the Windows 10 World
