About Me

My name is Carlos Zambrano Andrés Barrera, I'm studying Telematics Engineering at Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá.

I started to work with GNU/Linux in year 2004 with Suse 9.0, also I tested Mandriva, Debian Etch and Ututo 2007, but since I know Ubuntu, I've been faithfull since the version 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

Currently I'm working in Industrias Proton LTDA, where I'm moving the company to Ubuntu 9.04, also I am a promoter of free software in University, in my work and in my family, I think is an excellent tool for professionals and students in order to develop as integral person.

Personal Goals

1. Continuous learning of GNU / Linux operating system, focusing on Ubuntu.

2. Focus my academic and work life on free technologies, allow me to development as a student and professional.

3. Migrating the company Industrias Proton LTDA to Ubuntu GNU / Linux in which I am working.

Objectives in Ubuntu

1. Actively participate in the Ubuntu community, bringing my knowledge, my skills and everything you need to achieve this spread as an alternative operating system for everyday life and for work and study.

2. Meet new people in this community to interact and build knowledge from the dialogue.

3. Promote the culture of free software in the people who surround me.

4. Become an official Ubuntu translator and help with the translation of Ubuntu and other projects to Spanish.

Acerca de Mi

Mi nombre es Carlos Zambrano Andrés Barrera, soy estudiante de Ingenieria Telemática en la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas en Bogotá.

Comencé trabajando con GNU/Linux con la distribución Suse 9.0 en el 2004, tambien probé Mandriva, Debian Etch y Ututo 2007, pero desde que conocí a Ubuntu le he sido fiel desde su versión 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

Actualmente me encuentro trabajando en Industrias Proton LTDA donde estoy migrando la empresa a Ubuntu, también soy promotor de software libre en la universidad, en el trabajo y en mi familia, pienso que es una excelente herramienta para profesionales y estudiantes para desarrollarsde integralmente como personas.
