About Me

I attend DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, where I am currently working on getting my degree in Psychology. My overall goal is to get my PhD in Pediatric Clinical Psychology. At school I am in the Honors Program, and I am actively involved with several organizations.

My work with Ubuntu is a hobby that I work on in my free time. Technology fascinates me, and I'm always looking to try the latest and greatest versions of software. As a result, my involvement with Ubuntu began by testing daily builds of software and alpha versions of the OS. During this testing, I would report what bugs I could get information on. Since Ubuntu is so great, I wanted to try and give back to the community in any way I could. Due to my familiarity with bug reporting, the BugSquad seemed like a great place to start. I quickly joined the group and got a mentor, and just a few months later I am not a mentor myself, and I am working with many different teams. Working with the Ubuntu community is great, and I look forward to helping in every way possible.

BugSquad

The BugSquad team has done a lot to get me involved with Ubuntu, and it is thanks to them that I have become so involved with the community. Recently, I got approved to be a BugSquad Mentor, and I look forward to helping a lot of Ubuntu users become acquainted with bug triage and the work-flow of the Ubuntu community. The majority of my bug triage is for Firefox, but I also try to help with other general triage.

Beginners Team

For most users, the transition to Ubuntu is met with confusion and sometimes frustration. This is expected when switching to an entirely new OS, but it does not have to be that way. I have begun helping the Beginners Team in hopes of helping new users adjust to the Ubuntu OS. At this time, I am still a student of the team, but I will eventually be a full member of the team and some of its focus groups.

Mozilla Team

The majority of my work for the Mozilla Team is bug triage for Firefox. However, I am also helping with Songbird packaging. At this time, this includes getting the Songbird Daily Build PPA back up and running. I also hope to start a Songbird Stable Build PPA. Eventually I hope to become proficient enough with packaging and patching to be able to officially join the Mozilla Team and work on fixing downstream bugs.

IRC

IRC is generally the best way to get in contact with me. I have a personal server running irssi so my nick is always on the IRC servers, but I may not be at my computer. If that's the case, you can just ping me and I will respond when I get back on.

Depending on what you wish to talk to me about, you can find me in any of the following channels. If you want to discuss something that is personal, then private messages are always welcome.
