About me

Colombian living in Panamá City, '83 edition. I'm studying computer science at [http://www.uip.edu.pa/ Universidad Interamericana de Panamá] and working in my own company [http://www.mantistechs.com/ Mantis Technology Solutions]. I like to learn and read C/C++ source code from free software programs like [http://kde.org/ KDE], [http://amarok.kde.org/ Amarok] and [http://www.videolan.org/ VLC] (great code ).

My Goals

Short term

• Become a [http://kde.org/ KDE] and [http://amarok.kde.org/ Amarok] developer. (good progress and priority)

• Create a [https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-pty Ubuntu local comunity in Panamá] (good progress)

• Comment in the new [http://gplv3.fsf.org/ GPLv3]. (done)

• Create a Ubuntu [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Templates LoCo Template] for [http://www.typo3.org/ TYPO3] CMS (good progress)

• Help my friends and co-workers to use free software tools to design websites. (good progress)
• Help spreading GNU/Linux and free software. (good progress)

• Helping and promote more InstallFest in Panamá. (medium progress)

• Create a new comunity website for the [https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-pa-website LoCo Team Panama]. (good progress)

Long term

• Take GNU/Linux and free software to the enterprise and schools in Panamá. (slow progress)
• Become a Ubuntu MOTU. (plan for 2008)

• Promote the first [http://softwarefreedomday.org/ Software Freedom Day] in Panamá (slow progress)
