Hello, my name is 神癒礁湖 (Rafael Laguna) and as you already noticed, I love japanese! I'm from London and now I live in Valencia (Spain) and I'm a Linux user since a lot of time. The I discovered Ubuntu and its easyness of use and great looking and that's all. Well, not really. I'm a designer, so I liked to change that background or that icon, and suddenly I was designing interfaces for my favourite operating system. The year 2010 Canonical and its related products made a complete redesign, including the Ubuntu web, logo, derivated brands, blogs, etc. If we want Lubuntu be within the big Ubuntu family we need to have an equal branding and dedicated design, so my propposal was accepted, and now the corporative designs are exposed in the marketing wiki. Contributions

As I've mentioned, my contribution to Ubuntu was in the form of artwork for the distro, as well as maintaing a simple blog to inform about programs, Lubuntu updates, the LXDE environment and more. Recently I was admitted into the Ubuntu Advertising team.

Artwork

This evolves designing the whole artwork package for the Lubuntu distro (wallpapers, panels, logos, etc). So I've created some official artwork for Lucid, Maverick and Natty releases.

Blog

I felt like it was a hole in this field of the blogosphere, so I decided to publish every update or release about Lubuntu in a blog (when I have time to spend for).

Branding

The year 2010 Canonical and its related products made a complete redesign, including the Ubuntu web, logo, related brands, blogs, etc. If we want Lubuntu be within the big Ubuntu family we need to have an equal branding and dedicated design, so my propposal was accepted, and now the corporative designs are exposed in the marketing wiki.

Advertising

And this year I had a great surprise. The Ubuntu Advertising Team admin ask me about being part oh their group, so here I am. I hope I can help to this challenge.

Future plans

I'd like to continue my work in this operating system and its derivatives, co-working with the great people I've already know. I'd like to collaborate too with the local Catalan Team and translating Lubuntu to this language completely.
