Actively contributing to bug reports at Launchpad, either general bug reports or related to internationalization; linking bug reports to upstream.
Member of the GNOME Foundation and active contributor to GNOME.
Team coordinator for the Greek GNOME localisation project. My team completed the localisation of GNOME 2.26 for both the UI and documentation, an effort that makes Ubuntu more accessible to Greek-speaking users.
Moderator at the forum.ubuntu-gr.org forum. The forum is the official forum of the Ubuntu-Gr community and has currently reached 2900 members.
Strong involvement with Ubuntu Answers (in 2007 I reached 7000 karma points).
Attended London Bugjam '09.
- Redesigned the Greek keyboard layout with the result that the default keyboard settings in Ubuntu offer access to modern Greek, ancient Greek (Polytonic) and classical characters.
I am team coordinator for Greek with the Translation Project. Translations that take place in Launchpad are sent upstream.
Summer of Code 2008: Keyboard layout editor
- Summer of Code 2009: Input method support for the SDL library; Linux environment (ongoing).
Future Plans
Keep promoting free and open-source software through the Ubuntu-gr community activities.
- Help more Ubuntu-gr members qualify and apply to become Ubuntu members.
