  • Started using Linux in 1998. My linux progression went from Redhat -> Mandrake -> Gentoo -> Ubuntu. I started using (k)ubuntu in 2006.

Community

  • I promote Ubuntu at my local Hackerspace
  • I've installed Ubuntu on dozens of people's computers in my community. When I hear someone has a computer that used to be fast, but is running slow because of ad-ware and viruses I tell them I'll install Ubuntu on their computer and backup their old data for free. Most people keep Ubuntu on their computer after I do this.

  • A over 1000 private bugs and a few public bugs:
    • 711549 pressing physical eject button on CD/DVD drive causes icon to remain on desktop after eject
    • 734385 Crash when configure shutdown option selected
    • 736436 bzr-explorer should depend on ssh-askpass
    • 773745 ubuntuone-control-panel-gtk fails to open
    • 766569 volume and power hotkeys don't function when an applet is selected in the panel at the top of the screen
    • 847900 unable to view different months and years with the calendar in panel.

  • I like helping people to use Ubuntu to program microcontrollers. (IE: Arduino, Mindstorm, etc..)
  • Continue working to enable new platforms so Ubuntu users can buy new hardware with Ubuntu pre-installed.
