T-Shirt Design Page

The idea here is to upload some designs for our team T-shirt. It will also be our shirt for software freedom day for anyone planning to attend. After we get a few designs we will vote and the best one will become our shirt. I'll take orders and get them printed. We need at least 24 orders.

I was thinking we could give a free t-shirt to the winning designer too.

Let the contest begin.

Parameters for the shirt:

  • Normal durable "Polo shirt" with logo and catchphrase

on the front. Bonus points for stuff on the back also.

  • Silkscreening or the like. No decals.

Colors:

  1. White
  2. Black
  3. Brown

Phrases:

  1. Linux for Human Beings
  2. Open Source: the difference between Trust and Anti-Trust
  3. Coloco
    • front: (Coloco logo) Linux for human beings
    • back: Colorado LOCO: Community Supported Computer Fun
  4. Ubuntu:
    • People are people through other people Free software, free society. Share freely.
  5. Free software, Free society
  6. Share and share alike

Here is my edit with the ubuntu loco text. Not sure how to get rid of the extra background. The fit canvas to layer or whatever didn't work as expected. Oh well.

Ok, here is my orange version complete with transparency. -Andrew

Commitments to Order

Fill in the form below to commit to a shirt of some sort. Without about 20 or so committing to buy them it will not make much sense to put in an order. We might also consider ordering 20 or so and then reselling them at meetings for the people that don't follow the mail list so much. I (Jim) will volunteer to collect the money and order the shirts (if everyone trusts me :)). I will not ask for any money until we are ready to put in the order. However, please indicate how you will pay so I know what to expect. You can send a check or Pay Pal. Cash works too if you close enough to me to deliver it. However, Pay Pal would be best.

Okay,

Here is the price info. The "nicer" polo shirts are about $15. The stitching will run about $6-$8 depending on the number of stitches. The silk screening for the logo is about $2. They didn't mention about a set up cost so not sure if there will be a fixed price that gets divided among the number of shirts or not but since they didn't mention it maybe not. Assuming there isn't, the total cost will run closer to $25 or possibly a bit less. Those wanting pocket-Ts instead can order them. They are about $7 cheaper.

They will do a mixed order but there are price breaks at 12 shirts and 24 shirts so keep that in mind.

I need to place the order by Monday to have them ready for Software Freedom Day - assuming that it happens.
