These test cases focus on evolution and pidgin.

Test Case 1: No IM Window when IM Received
The user has pidgin running, but no pdgin windows are open.
- Confirm that a notification appears when the IM comes in.
- Confirm that an entry is added to the MI
- Confirm that the IM Window does not open
- Confirm that when the entry is selected, the IM window opens and comes to the front
Test Case 2: IM Window Open/Not active when Im Received
- Confirm that a notification appears when the IM comes in.
- Confirm that an entry is added to the MI
- Confirm that the IM Window does not come to the front
- Confirm that when the entry is selected, the IM window opens and comes to the front
Test Case 3: User is writing into an IM window when another friend IMs them
- Confirm that a notification appears
- Confirm that a new pidgin tab appears with the new IM
Test Case 4: User is writing into an IM window when the friend they are chatting with IM's them
- Confirm that a notification does not appear
- Confirm that the new message appears in the current chat window
Test Case 5: Evolution window is not active, email received
- Confirm that a notification appears when the email arrives
- Confirm that an entry is added to the MI
- Confirm that evolution does not come to the front
- Confirm that when the entry is selected, the evolution window comes to the front
Test Case 6: Evolution Window is not active, user is writing an email, email received
- Confirm that a notification appears when the email arrives
- Confirm that an entry is added to the MI
- Confirm that the main evolution does not come to the front
- Confirm that when the entry is selected, the main evolution window comes to the front
Test Case 7: Evolution Window is active, email received
- Confirm that a notification does not appear
- Confirm that the new message appears in the main evolution window
Test Case 8: The user starts up Ubuntu, and neither pidgin or evolution are open
- Confirm the MI applet is empty (no icon)
Test Case 9: The user starts up just pidgin
- Confirm the MI applet shows an icon and lists "Pidgin Instant Messenger" when left clicked
Test Case 10: The user starts up just evolution
- Confirm the MI applet shows an icon and lists "Evolution Mail" when left clicked
Test Case 11: The user starts up both pidgin and evolution
- Confirm the MI applet shows an icon and lists "Pidgin Instant Messenger" when left clicked
- Confirm the MI applet shows an icon and lists "Evolution Mail" when left clicked
Test Case 12: Pidgin buddy list
User launches pidgin with Applications->Internet->Pidgin (or automatically at login)
- Buddy list opens
- User closes buddy list
- User can confirm Pidgin is running by clicking on the indicator applet
- User can open the buddy list by clicking in the indicator applet
- User can close the buddy list and confirm Pidgin is still running by looking at the indicator applet
Confirm the only way to exit pidgin is with Buddies->Quit in the buddy list window
