I am also a big advocate (and part-time activist) for GNU/Linux on the desktop and as such am a strong supporter of my favourite distribution, Ubuntu.

Aspirations

• Short-Term
  • Secure Ubuntu official community membership

  • Continue to build out the reach and effectiveness of the [wiki:ColoradoTeam Colorado Team] by getting to more LUGs as well as leveraging our teacher-members to get further into the schools.

  • Continue to be the POFILTER God for [https://launchpad.net/people/ubuntu-l10n-eo Ubuntu Esperanto Team] and with my buddy [https://launchpad.net/people/t-morley Tim Morley], drive the accuracy of translations to a better standard.

  • Become more engaged with the [wiki:MarketingTeam Marketing Team] to help bring the SpreadUbuntu and UbuntuMagazine concepts to reality

• Long-Term, which admittedly are not 100% Ubuntu related

  • Complete the OOo translation with lots and lots of help.

  • Bring more folks over to Ubuntu via the [wiki:ColoradoTeam Colorado Team].

  • Continue to make this wiki entry the oddest thing anyone's ever seen.
  • I would love to secure a paid job working on (or for) Ubuntu.
  • Stay married to my wife who has become an Ubuntu-widow.
