Goals
- Make sure science packages are synced from Debian.
- Make sure Ubuntu science packages actually work. Some need to be tested and bug reports need to be filed.
Let's get a .desktop file for all the relevent science packages. Many don't have .desktop files or icons. I believe that most of the packages should have something like Categories=ConsoleOnly;Math; or Categories=Application;Science; . [http://icculus.org/~jcspray/plotdrop/ PlotDrop] - PlotDrop is designed for quick simple visualisation of 2D data series. It is a minimal GNOME frontend to GNUPlot. (LaserJock is working on this one)
