Goals

• Make sure science packages are synced from Debian.
• Make sure Debian knows what packages are in Ubuntu but not in Debian.
• Make sure Ubuntu science packages actually work. Some need to be tested and bug reports need to be filed.

• Package some of the programs found at [http://www.gnomefiles.org/category.php?cat_id=6 gnomefiles.org] and [http://www.kde-apps.org/index.php?xcontentmode=280 kde-apps.org] for inclusion into Ubuntu/Debian.

It can be used to build complex applications by combining small, reusable building blocks. In some ways, it is similar to both Simulink and LabView, but is hardly a clone of either." (Kyral is looking into this) -- Its in REVU now - (Kyral)

• [http://www.gnomefiles.org/app.php?soft_id=471 Gabedit] - a graphical interface to Gaussian, Molcas, Molpro and MPQC computational chemistry packages. - Already available in Debian. DIF Exception request raised [https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/182074 here]

• [http://www.gamgi.org/ GAMGI] - a package to build, visualize and analyse atomic structures.

• [http://bibus-biblio.sourceforge.net/ Bibus] - bibliography management tool. Works with OpenOffice.org.

• [http://www.openclinica.org/ OpenClinica] - a is a web-based Clinical Data Management Software (CDMS) platform.

• [http://opencircuitdesign.com/magic/ Magic VLSI] - a venerable VLSI layout tool.
