in the Year 2006 (6.04) i saw my first UBUNTU Distri. I put the CD in my second Desktop PC and "hit & run" a Linuxinstall whitout problems. If I remember correctly my Hardware was approximate 20/24 months old. I was decided to switch from KDE to GNOME Desktop, and the rest is History, whit many bottels of Clubmate and shirty buddys ;-) '''''(thanks a million over again)''''' As Serversystem we use Debian, in our company. And now UBUNTU is my way to say "thank you". IMHO: Whit UBUNTU is the first step, linux cames out from the

  • M. works in a small dotcom company (CEO, admin, support, and field staff)
  • M. tinkers on linux since 10 years (first Distri.: „DLD“ enyone remember?!)
  • M. uses Debian (Server) and UBUNTU (Desktop) today

in the Year 2006 (6.04) i saw my first UBUNTU Distri. I put the CD in my second Desktop PC and "hit & run" a Linuxinstall whitout problems. If I remember correctly my Hardware was approximate 20/24 months old. I was decided to switch from KDE to GNOME Desktop, and the rest is History, whit many bottels of Clubmate and shirty buddys Wink ;-) (thanks a million over again) As Serversystem we use Debian, in our company.
