REVU Days

This is an attempt to utilize MOTU time as effectively as possible concerning REVU. On this page we hope to "Showcase" a few packages for MOTU in an effort to direct MOTU to packages that are in fairly good shape. Myself (porthose) and RainCT are making an attempt to go through packages and pre-screen them for things such as

  • common packaging errors as described on the REVU Checklist page.

  • lintian checks
  • copyright checks
  • check for debian ITP bug (to push package upstream if accepted)
  • check for LP needs packaging bug
  • check m.d.n. for package (to push package upstream if accepted)
  • ensure the package builds, installs, removes, and purges correctly.
  • ensure that upstream is active
  • ensure submitter is active.
  • encourage the submitter to build the package in a PPA.
  • link to PPA build logs.
  • encourage the submitter to possibly have bzr branch available.

The following are some packages that we feel are in fairly good shape and are good candidates for MOTU review.
