About Me
My name Is Terence Simpson, I'm 23 and live in Birmingham in the UK. I've been using Linux for about 10 years and it's been my primary OS for 7. I startind using Ubuntu from the Breezy release, before that I was using Debian stable. My primary desktop environment is KDE just because that's what I like I'm also a (recently approved) K/Ubuntu Member
What I Do For Ubuntu
I spend a lot of time in #kubuntu on freenode helping out where I can. So much so that people have started saying "ask stdin, he'll know". I'm also an operator on that channel and try to keep it sane I'm also subscribed to the Kubuntu Users mailing list and help out there too. I tend to run the latest development version on Kubuntu (right now HardyHerron) to test it out, find bugs and see the progress it's making. I plan on upgrading to Intrepid as soon as I can. I also edit some wiki pages when I notice something wrong, or get feedback from users (on #kubuntu and #ubuntu) that they can do with being clearer, I also do a lot of adding "and if you're on Kubuntu, do...." bits, like:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia (did a major rewrite for Kubuntu instructions)
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompositeManager/CompizFusion
(and some others)
I help with bug triage and contribute patches as well as assigning bugs to relevant packages and getting information for bugs. See my bug page for more. I also help with KDE 4 packaging, most recently the 4.1 beta 2 packages available from the Kubuntu Members KDE4 Team PPA and have contributed to other packages, such as the ubuntu-dev-tools package, adding the dgetlp tool.
And, of cource, I try to get as many people I can to convert to Ubuntu. So far I have conveted several friends, a few family members and a couple of random stangers
