There is no official way to translate Mozilla products, other than the fact that all translations must land in the [[http://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central|Mercurial source tree]]. All teams use [[http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pU-QuuJ-iK6boZ1GVPonsXw&hl=ca|different methods]].

Some examples:

 * Some teams work directly on the Mercurial repository, by translating with a normal text editor and committing them.
 * Others convert the XPI files to PO with the [[http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/|Translate Toolkit]] tools and work on them with PO editors.
 * Others use [[http://sourceforge.net/projects/moztrans/|Mozilla Translator]] for offline translation
 * Others use [[https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_project_list.php|Narro]] for online translation, export the XPI files and manually commit them in Mercurial
