Installing Ubuntu Advocacy Kit (UAK)

So you want to install the Ubuntu Advocacy Kit ? It's very simple.


  • Ubuntu Advocacy works from Ubuntu 12.04 onwards.

Installing the latest version from the uak PPA

All users are recommended to install from the uak PPA; this contains the most current and stable release of Ubuntu Advocacy Kit.

To install, simply run following commands in terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:uak-admins/uak
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install uak-en

The Ubuntu Advocacy Kit should be now installed on your system.

To begin, run the Ubuntu Advocacy Kit app which is now available in the Dash (or run uak from a terminal).

You can uninstall using the following commands:

sudo apt-get remove uak-en
