We use the following list to coordinate which BOF Meetings we will attend. We will make an effort to contribute to BOFs most important to Ubuntu Education - either by dividing them up amongst us, or attending them jointly.
Missing Specifications
- Edubuntu Configurations

Concepts to Promote / Explain at UDS
- Which features requested by Education apply to all Ubuntu audiences
Can we drive these features upstream to Ubuntu ?
- Take advantage of a bigger development team
- Feature Benefits become available to all variants
- Ubuntu and Education Community Space
We are creating an Ubuntu and Education Community Space
- This space will host:
user discussions on current use of Ububuntu in Education
- Ubuntu
- Edubuntu
- Kubuntu
- Xubuntu
3rd party education applications in current use by the community
- where to get them
- some unofficial guidelines to usage
- forums for unofficial peer support
3rd party education tools in current use by the community
- where to get them
- some unofficial guidelines to usage
- forums for unofficial peer support
Content Sites in current use by the community
- where to get them
- some unofficial guidelines to usage
- forums for unofficial peer support
This unofficial space allows people to share and discuss and test:
- broader than of current *buntu bundles
- outside of official Ubuntu policy
- usage is on an "as is basis"
- licence issues are up to the individual
- outside of official policy or blessing of:
- Canonical
- Ubuntu
- Edubuntu
This space allows us to identify Applications, Tools or Content that prove to be:
- Broadly adopted
- Well supported
- Of significant benefit to education
- Compliant with our licence and philosophy
Applications, Tools or Content that fit the criteria will have a chance to move upstream through a formal process i.e.
- consider bundling
- consider integration
- consider partnerships
