Inspiration

The proposed Jaunty GDM login is a bold change adding new colors to the Ubuntu mix.

Concept

Create a background which can be themed in much the same way as the desktop. The Msg background is painted on a transparent canvas which permits the background color to be changed as desired.

One of the attributes of Jaunty is the new notification system. The design of this background is an abstract of that concept.
