Roadmap for 2010/2011

• Registered with ROS

  • We plan to have the LoCo registered as NGO with the Registrar of Societies (ROS), Malaysia so that our activities can be recognized and therefore pushing the LoCo brand and generally Ubuntu forward in Malaysia.

Experiences / Efforts

• Ubuntu 10.04 Release Party (East Malaysia)  —  8^th May 2010
  
  Members gathered to celebrate the released of Lucid Lynx where we distribute the latest Ubuntu CD (and ISO files) to attendees. We also demo and discuss on the new features of Lucid.
  
  

• Software Freedom Day 2009  —  25^th & 26^th September 2009
  
  This event was organized by members of Ubuntu Malaysia and was held at Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak Campus), Kuching, Malaysia. This event is to promote the usage of Linux (especially Ubuntu) and open source software to Swinburne's staff and students, as well as the public.

• MSC-OSCON 2009  —  31th May - 3rd June 2009
  
  Event was held at Berjaya Time Square, Kuala Lumpur where the activities are Release Party, hackathon, installfest, Netbook Remix demo, hardware troubleshooting for Ubuntu 9.04, launching of Ubuntu MY as official LoCo, etc.
