Gutsy Release Party

General Concepts

  • Tentatively Saturday 20 October 2007, 19:00-? CDT (UCT-5) (that's 7 PM, btw)

Location

  • Should be bus-accessible, in Twin Cities metro area
  • University of Minnesota campus, empty classroom if possible; should have digital projector and screen if possible - Jay Curry

  • Restaurant TBD afterwards (suggestions include Buffalo Wild Wings, Cosetta, Grandma's, Dunn Brothers'); should allow <21 - Brad Johnson

* TonyYarusso may be able to bring a digital projector and screen if not available on-site. Maybe.

  • Public library computer labs - started by Eric Honaker; Roseville and Shoreview by TonyYarusso; New Hope, Golden Valley, and Minnetonka by Jay Curry

  • Comics Conference - JordanPeacock

  • Various flyers and other material for these events and in general - all, LOTS on the wiki, Gobby as needed by TonyYarusso

  • Distribution at computer stores - Eric Honaker, former CompRen in Minnetonka and Microcenter by Jay Curry

  • Legislators - see /Political

  • Schools - all; have a dedicated meeting on this in the future; look into getting a demo laptop to bring around

Finances and Paperwork

  • Little decided at this time
  • Not doing IRC 501c3/4 registration for now
  • May look into non-profit mailer with USPS, community checking account with BankCherokee

  • Discuss in future as needed
  • Write up procedures for record-keeping - TonyYarusso

Meeting Frequency

  • Between twice a month to every two months
  • At least one more before Gutsy release, to finalize party plans
  • Next meeting should rotate day of week and time - watch the mailing list
